EIX

Lion says, "I grabbed a few more shares of EIX." I'll check that here in a sec. That looks like it's consolidating before going lower. So, to me, let's if we back out here, Lion, tell me what the thought process is here cuz 13, you're thinking that it this is just kind of consolidation and may end up rolling over and retest the lows. I guess if you were bullish on this, as Lion is, you could make the argument that perhaps the bottom was put in in these first two days and it might be over. So, I guess it depends on how you look at it. Lion, let me know if I'm getting that right.

Um the two big ones were Edison International and then Pacific Gas and Electric Company. major major implications for um uh Edison and uh PG&E.

EIX, that's one of those. That's the Edison that is down 20%. Oh boy, look at this. Straight down from Friday's close.

uh EKS mentioning that EIX, which is Edison that we've covered here this morning, might be trying to bottom here. Now, the last time this traded down, Lion, you were a buyer of EIX, weren't you? I know 13 was, but I I I think both of you folks were. I bought it, too, but I was I used options, and I just didn't give them enough time. I won't make that mistake if I do it again here.

PC, Pacific Gas and Electric here, PCG is getting trounced along with EIX. These are both uh utilities out of California. And really what's going on here is that new legislation was passed that essentially they can't pass on rate hikes as much as they want. And also that, you know, people that have problems like their house burns down, the payouts have to be made sooner. And so essentially more restrictions on utilities that essentially will hamper their their profitability.

A lot of this is stemming, in my opinion, from basically data centers, right? So data centers driving up utility costs and you're starting to see California enact legislation to keep these electric companies from passing those rate hikes just continually on to the consumer.
